Dibble - Hiatus (feat. Sammoth) Lyrics
Official

Take a seat let me finish what I started
This track may be overdue but it's for loved one's who have departed
I can't describe the pain in my heart still
All I know's when times get dark to pay the light bill
Wilko man, I still can't believe it
I'd do anything to stop all the pain that we're still feeling
After the event I had something I could believe in
We need to live life right and pull closer to stop grieving
And now I introduce baby Isaiah to the world
It's a cold place son but Imma tell you all I've learned
As time moves on and you're talking without dribbling
You'll notice my focus never strayed from you and any siblings
Work for your money, life's a joke thats not funny
They'll strip you of any credit like a bee that makes honey
Always take advice from the righteous and you can go far
And ... a damn boss you don't need one coz that's what you are
Imma keep making moves when I scribble and I doodle
Till somebody disproves this theory in my noodle
When I'm in the booth I turn a Rottie into a Poodle
And these sour faces suddenly sweeter than apple strudel
I do this with minimal effort, you taking a day out
You're slower than fat labradors, just call me the greyhound
You thought you were old school but you got it the wrong way round
I'm writing from the principals office, you're on the playground
Yes, I've been away. I've been struggling for 3 years
And drowning in tears, fears and too many damn beers
But I'm tryna get my mind straight now
I'm milking every happy memory like a hindsight cow
I've been tryna land punches in a blind fight, how
Can I roll with every punch when they land like, BLAOW
I was waiting for the round to start listening for the bell
But life doesn't fight fair but it fights like hell
If I take off the blinkers look at all I've achieved
It's really gon mean nothing if I don't then succeed
And by that, I'm not talking bout wealth, keep the money
I want discipline instilled in my son that he takes from me
Money brings nothing but unhealthy obsession
Just to be the biggest poser with a nice set of possessions
From your great nana Iz, let this be a lesson
You can't take it with you so leave it all for the next 'un
Imma set the goal out for you early on
I want the family set in 5 generations when I'm gone
If that means I get it and rest in the ground when I'm done
Make it the middle of the pasture in the warmest spring, Son
I'll give you the skills that you need
To achieve any dream that you could possibly dream
In the meantime Imma keep it going full steam
So you can see we're family and we're rolling as a team.
