Drod - brackets Lyrics
Official

I thought about the sacrifices that I made to get here
Like if it wasn't that hard more people would've been here
Like if I let a fat lard come inside my in-ears
Remember rap from backyard and where I'll be in 10 years
It be tempting on the tempo to lose temper watch the temperature rise
Like if I mimic other rappers and their typical rhymes
Then I can be like one of them and with their ten minute high
Burn that plastic with these bars watch them meet there demise
Cause if you try to staple this you can't do it
I'm scrolling through yo' music everything is translucent
You paying for the likes
And you buying all the views and
It's a really sad sight to see you drowning in the booze
Cause that's what's cool to do to prove to all your follows on the 'gram
That your life is a movie and you really be the man
I know you listen to nobody but what you don't understand
Is that you building the facade that's promoting all the xans
This a rant now
Why do kids consume all the things that leave 'em blacked out
Why we get addicted when we know that it's a bad route
Why we spend money when our cards already maxed out
And why you go to college just so you can join a frat house
Cause after four years your properly finished
Ready to join society a job and get children
But what's already a fact I know it's hard to admit it
Is that you a slave to your boss and that college tuition
Check it
I've never been the one to sit their in silence
But then again I'm in my room and I'm just sitting in silence
I know I've used that line a million times but it defines
How I've picked apart divided my minds' in a different climate
We on two separate brackets
Not the same schedule
You live in the moment
While I strive for the perpetual
Said two separate brackets
Not the same schedule
You ain't got my vision
But i see it with a telescope
You think of me talking the problem would cause up a body of people to change
But rather go live in the party that popping the molly and rotting the brain
And it pertains to the debate
They think it's a game better go pray
They gonna pay
They gonna pay
I gotta pray
They gonna wait hold up
I got the key to the locker aye
I be a king to my momma aye
I remember I would start up a beat and the lyrics I'm thinking was nada aye
I be better with the product aye
I be cautious with the dollar aye
Maybe the way I was brought up
Was taught to be smarter than all of the others
Look I'm busy doing extra reps yuh
I need seven digits and some better checks
Wait no
I need some intentions that'll settle stress yea
Put all my perception into depth effect
Boy this beat is medicine
And everything I said I'll do
Was being honest not to put me on a pedestal
Never looking at the stats I got bigger views
You in the back while I got my hands on ten and two
Boy they sleeping Benadryl
And done with all the secrecy
Sometimes the scenery just isn't what it seems to be
Cause you ain't finna be the one to take the peace from me
I'ma drop this wisdom on your head like a guillotine
See me as the teacher
Who's got more to learn myself because I'm better with time
Every step is a vision that started up in the mind
Because now it's habitual every time that I rhyme
Leveling up in my league I lead as one of a kind
Cause we on two separate brackets
Not the same schedule
You live in the moment
While I strive for the perpetual
Said two separate brackets
Not the same schedule
You ain't got my vision
But I see it with a telescope
