Extrefato - Jon and The Power of Will Lyrics

Extrefato - Jon and The Power of Will Lyrics

Beneath the bright sky through wind and the wave
A seagull flew high so fearless so brave
Jonathan's name, distinct from the rest
He saw it in the skies a flight of the best
No simple life, no food could suffice
He longed for a dream a vision more precise
With wings spread wide he soared to the light
Higher and stronger chasing pure flight
The others looked on with disdain and surprise
You don't need to fly so far through the skies
Life's simple and close the fish swim near
Forget those dreams Jonathan you've nothing to fear
But he paid no heed to their doubtful cries
He chased his dreams through boundless skies
And though he fell many times to the sand
He never gave up on what he had planned
With patience and he trained with care
Until one day he conquered the air
Now flying higher than ever before
Light as a feather he touched the sky's door
Yet cast aside from the flock he was thrown
For being too different too wild too lone
But Jonathan now no longer felt small
He soared far and wide proud of it all
He met kindred spirits who soared just as free
Unafraid of the heights or the vast mystery
He learned that flying's not just for ascent
But living and loving and daring intent
At last he returned to his former flight
To teach them that life is not just in sight
That life is a dream not only a chase
But beyond the sea wind and time
There's a place we two have dreamed
Since we were young
Though many have mocked us with careless tongue
Yet Jonathan's tale leaves us something to share
A call to keep dreaming and flying if you dare
Oh, we two have dreamed
Since we were young
Though many have mocked us with careless tongue
Yet Jonathan's tale leaves us something to share
A call to keep dreaming and flying if you dare
