Gwen Stefani - Bouquet Album Lyrics

Gwen Stefani - Bouquet Lyrics
(Featuring Blake Shelton)

Somebody Else's

I don't know what a heart like mine
Was doin' in a love like that, ahh-ah
And doin' in a love so bad
But I know, I know, I know, I know now

I don't know what a woman like me
Was doin' with a man like you, ooh
But now I got a love so true
But I know, I know, I know, I know crazy

Now that I found the real thing
You don't compare
And I don't care

You're somebody else's
And it doesn't even break my heart
You're somebody else's
And I pray for them, whoever they are
Oh, every day with you is rock bottom
Leavin' you saved me, my god
Look at me blossom
You're somebody else's problem

I didn't know that somethin' so fake
Could really make it hurt so real, ahh-ah
And how'd you go and make it feel
Like my fault, my fault, my fault, my fault, wow

If I could go back in time
I would erase you, ooh-ooh
But I could never go back there
I might be wild, but I ain't that crazy

Now that you're dead to me
I feel so alive
And you're not mine

You're somebody else's
And it doesn't even break my heart
You're somebody else's
And I pray for them, whoever they are
Oh, every day with you was rock bottom
Leavin' you saved me, my god
Look at me blossom
You're somebody else's problem

You're somebody else's (somebody eles's)
You're somebody else's

Narcissistic, semi-psychotic
So manipulated I bought it
Every time, but not this time
You gaslit my world, it was burning
Had to leave before it stopped turning
So happy I could cry
'Cause you're not mine

You're somebody else's (somebody else's)
And it doesn't even break my heart
You're somebody else's (somebody else's)
And I pray for them, whoever they are
Oh, every day with you was rock bottom
Leavin' you saved me, my god
Look at me blossom
You're somebody else's problem

Bouquet

We met when my heart was broken
Thank God that yours was too
So lucky that you were goin'
Through what I was goin' through

And then the next thing you know
We can't leave each other alone
Kiss me and it felt like home
And that's when I said

You bring the diamond, I'll bring the promise
You bring the dogs and I'll bring the boys
You give me everything that I wanted
I even got your last name
I got the faith and you got the patience
I drive you crazy, you drive the truck
I know that we'll be okay
We're makin' our own bouquet

Sunflowers, and roses
Tied up in a bow and
Now look at the life we made
We're makin' our own bouquet

I put your name on the dotted line
Signed up for more than me
Saw you turn into the man
That you were born to be

Oh, and then the next thing you know (you know)
We can't leave each other alone
Kiss me and it felt like home
And that's when I said

You bring the diamond, I'll bring the promise
You bring the dogs and I'll bring the boys
You give me everything that I wanted
I even got your last name
I got the faith and you got the patience
I drive you crazy, you drive the truck (oh)
I know that we'll be okay (okay)
We're makin' our own bouquet

Sunflowers, and roses
Tied up in a bow and
Now look at the life we made
We're makin' our own bouquet

And you bring the diamond, I'll bring the promise
You bring the dogs and I'll bring the boys
You give me everything that I wanted (yeah)
I even got your last name (yeah)
I got the faith and you got the patience
I drive you crazy, you drive the truck (oh)
I know that we'll be okay (okay)
We're makin' our own bouquet

Sunflowers, and roses
Tied up in a bow and
Now look at the life we made
We're makin' our own bouquet
Sunflowers, and roses
Tied up in a bow and (oh)
Now look at the life we made
We're makin' our own bouquet

Pretty

"I'll never be adored"
That's what I used to tell myself
And what's a heart for
When it doesn't even love that well?

Every wrong turn is the one I take
And every wrong move is the one I make
I bloomed, my petals are fallin'
Then you showed up and you said that you're all in

I, I-I-I-I, I never felt pretty 'til you loved me
I always felt pretty, pretty, pretty unlucky
I, I-I-I-I, I never felt pretty 'til you loved me
And now I feel pretty, pretty, pretty lucky

Looked into my eyes
And showed me what I couldn't see
I didn't see the light
Now I sparkle like a diamond ring

Every wrong turn took me right to you
Makin' out all night in the living room
I bloomed, my petals are fallin'
Then you showed up and you said that you're all in

I, I-I-I-I, I never felt pretty 'til you loved me
I always felt pretty, pretty, pretty unlucky
I, I-I-I-I, I never felt pretty 'til you loved me
And now I feel pretty, pretty, pretty lucky
Pretty, pretty, pretty lucky
Pretty, pretty, pretty lucky

Until you loved me
Until you touched me
Never felt so lovely
Until you, 'til you, 'til you, 'til you, oh

I, I-I-I-I, I never felt pretty 'til you loved me
I always felt pretty, pretty, pretty unlucky
I, I-I-I-I, I never felt pretty 'til you loved me
And now I feel pretty, pretty, pretty lucky
Pretty, pretty, pretty lucky
Pretty, pretty, pretty

Empty Vase

I was an empty vase
Just sitting on the counter
I was a dream erased
I lost all my power
Lies, lies, night after night
I couldn't see the hope with the tears in my eyes
Then I watched the sunrise
For the first time

'Cause you went and filled this empty vase with flowers
You showed up and filled this lonely space and now you're
Giving me love that I wanna get trapped in
Like I imagined, but it never happened
Until you went and filled this empty vase with flowers

The seeds are in the ground
I pray it rains in April
I've been to church but you were the first
To show me what it means to be faithful
Why, why did it take so much time?
You've always been the one I've been trying to find
I know you'll raise my sons right

'Cause you went and filled this empty vase with flowers
And you showed up and filled this lonely space and now you're
Giving me love that I wanna get trapped in
Like I imagined, but it never happened
Until you went and filled this empty vase with flowers

I'll grow with you
And you'll grow with me
Love cures everything
I know it does

'Cause you went and filled this empty vase with flowers
You showed up and filled this lonely space and now you're
Giving me love that I wanna get trapped in
Like I imagined, but it never happened
Until you went and filled this empty vase with flowers

Flowers, flowers
And giving me love
Flowers, flowers

Marigolds

Met you in October, I had nothing to lose
Dressed up like a country girl, I knew you'd approve
Planted seeds for hopeful dreams, but nothing would bloom
Knew I had to kiss you on the Halloween moon

Turquoise and diamonds, not an obvious choice
We are a perfect combination of souls
No one understands it, but you're my miracle
How we got together was so spiritual

I thought the garden died
But I guess those tears we cried
Helped bring us back to life
And now we're layin' on a bed of marigolds
Layin' on a bed of marigolds
Forever layin' on a bed of marigolds

Now I get it when they say that love grows
Your affection leads to something I didn't know
That you would bring me home just like a marigold
Ooh-ooh

I thought the garden died
But I guess those tears we cried
Helped bring us back to life
And now we're layin' on a bed of marigolds
Layin' on a bed of marigolds
Forever layin' on a bed of marigolds

They said we'd end up hurt
They said it wouldn't work
Our love can't be controlled
And now we're layin' on a bed of marigolds

I thought the garden died (I thought the garden died)
But I guess those tears we cried (Those tears we cried)
Helped bring us back to life (Helped bring us back to life)
And now we're layin' on a bed of marigolds (Love is golden)
Layin' on a bed of marigolds (Marigolds)
Forever layin' on a bed of marigolds (Love is golden, marigolds)

Love is golden

Late to Bloom

I wish I met you when I was younger
Like 22 or 23
Think of all those extra summers
And maybe we could

Skip the part when you weren't in my life
I can't believe that you weren't always mine

They say good things come to those who wait
And I can say they really do
It felt like centuries
Waiting here for you
And now we're drivin' in the truck
Under the full strawberry moon
Wish we could hit the brakes
And stay forever Junе

And baby this love was late to bloom
And baby this love was latе to bloom

They say it's better late than never
And I don't miss the way it was
Time is precious, August ended
And we're still picking dahlias

Skip the part when you weren't in my life
I can't believe that you weren't always mine

They say good things come to those who wait
And I can say they really do
It felt like centuries
Waiting here for you
And now we're drivin' in the truck
Under the full strawberry moon
Wish we could hit the brakes
And stay forever June

And, baby, this love (This love) was late (Was late) to bloom (This love was late to bloom)
And, baby, this love (This love) was late (Was late) to bloom

And kiss me, kiss me, kiss me
For the rest of my life
Finally with me, with me, with me
Let's make up for lost time
And kiss me, kiss me, kiss me
For the rest of my life
Finally with me, with me, with me
Let's make up for lost time

They say good things come to those who wait
And I can say they really do
It felt like centuries
Waiting here for you
And now we're drivin' in the truck
Under the full strawberry moon
Wish we could hit the brakes
And stay forever June

And baby this love (This love) was late (Was late) to bloom, yeah (This love was late to bloom)
And baby this love (This love) was late (Was late) to bloom
Baby this love (This love) was late (Was late) to bloom (This love was late to bloom)
Baby this love was late to bloom

Swallow My Tears

The past keeps chasin' me around
I thought I lost it, but then it found me
Like it always does
Dragging me back to who I was
And I'm runnin', I'm runnin'
But not from you

I stay one step ahead of the pain
I keep an umbrella when there's no rain
I got my guard up when there's no war
Don't know what I'm fighting for

Give me a second, I need to swallow my tears
I promise, I promise, I promise I want you here
I want you here
But first let me swallow my tears

Lookin' for God, I'm prayin', kneelin'
Had to go and do some healin'
Sorry I was ghostin' you (ghostin' you)
But what was I supposed to do?
I'm runnin', I'm runnin'
But not from you

I stay one step ahead of the pain
I keep an umbrella when there's no rain
I got my guard up when there's no war
Don't know what I'm fighting for

Give me a second, I need to swallow my tears
I promise, I promise, I promise I want you here
I want you here

Oh, give me a second, I need to swallow my tears
I promise, I promise, I promise I want you here (I want you here)
I want you here (I need you here)
I want you here (I want you here)
I want you here (I need you here)

I promise, I promise, I promise
I promise, I promise, I promise

Reminders

Look at me surrounded by the sunshine
All the leaves are fallin' down just in time
Plant a seed a garden for a new life
Wait for rain to come

A little time
I think that we deserve that
These days are passin' by so fast
Drink it slow and maybe I can make it last
I'll save you some

Can I stay here underneath your shade
When I feel afraid?
I just need a few reminders
Sometimes I forget, it slips away
But nothing's really changed
I just need a few remindеrs

Woah, we can watch our garden grow
Woah, I just need a few rеminders

If you see me actin' in a strange way
I tried to love before you came
And now you're dealin' with the damage done
Are you strong enough?

Sometimes I flash back into those days
Make it go away
I just need a few reminders
Wash away these feelings and these stains
Hold me as I pray
I just need a few reminders

Oh, we can watch our garden grow
Oh, I just need a few reminders
Oh, we can watch our garden grow
Oh, I just need a few reminders

Give me your peace
I'm gonna dig down deep
And bury those memories
Sow under the soil
Gonna let perfect love grow
On this road to Jericho
Our love is a miracle

Look at me surrounded by the sunshine
All the leaves are fallin' down just in time
Plant a seed a garden for a new life
Wait for rain to come

All Your Fault

I can't believe this
And who could've seen this?
Come in, come on, no one could've guessed
And that I'd fall so hard
I thought I was so smart
Look at me now, I'm a stupid mess

'Cause you make me crazy
And now I'm done, I'm done
And nothin's gonna save me

I, I can barely breathe
And I, I can't even think
I'm all messed up
And it's all your fault
And I, I lost my sanity
And I got no dignity
I've come all undone
And it's all your fault

You got me twisted
What you got me in is
Hell and Heaven all at the same time
I thought I was so strong
Oh, but I was so wrong
You got me on my knees, but I don't mind

'Cause I think I, I like it
Like what you're doing
I'm too weak, too weak to fight it

I, I can barely breathe
And I, I can't even think
I've come all undone
And it's all your fault

It's all your fault that I'm like this
I live for your touch, die for your kiss
I've been a messed up, wrecked up mess
Ever since we met

I can't believe this
Who could have seen this?
Come in, come on, no one could've guessed

Yeah, you make me crazy
And now I'm done, I'm done and nothin's gonna save me

I, I can barely breathe
And I, I can't even think
I'm all messed up
And it's all your fault
And I, I lost my sanity
And I, I got no dignity
I've come all undone
And it's all your fault

It's all your fault
It's all your fault
It's all your fault

Purple Irises

[ Featuring Blake Shelton ]

But if someone comes along and tries to love you like I love you
Don't know what I'd do, don't wanna lose you

Everything fades
Everything dies
Put me in a vase, but you can't
You can't stop time

It's not 1999
But this face is still mine
The way you look at me
I swear my heart hits rewind

But if someone comes along and tries to love you like I love you
Don't know what I'd do, don't wanna lose you
If someone comes along and tries to take you, tries to make you
Don't let 'em change your mind
Wonder why you took a risk
On a broken heart you cannot fix
No, I never knew a love like this
Now I'm picking purple irises

I got you
And you got me
And do you still think I'm pretty?
And are you happy?

It's not 2014
But you still look good in those jeans
Lookin' in the mirror
Do you see what I see?

But if someone comes along and tries to love you like I love you
Don't know what I'd do, don't wanna lose you
If someone comes along and tries to take you, tries to make you
Don't let 'em change your mind
Wonder why you took a risk
On a broken heart you cannot fix
No, I never knew a love like this
Now I'm picking purple irises

And we're blooming into the change
I'm overthinking it
Picking purple irises
And leaving love stains
I got violet memories
I'm overthinking it
Oh, and leaving love stains
Love stains

But if someone comes along and tries to love you like I love you
Don't know what I'd do, don't wanna lose you
If someone comes along and tries to take you, tries to make you
Don't let 'em change your mind
Oh, if someone comes along and tries to love you like I love you
Don't know what I'd do, don't wanna lose you
If someone comes along and tries to take you, tries to make you
Don't let 'em change your mind
Wonder why you took a risk
On a broken heart you cannot fix
No, I never knew a love like this
Now I'm picking purple irises

Bouquet is the fifth studio album by American singer and songwriter Gwen Stefani. It was released on November 15, 2024, through Interscope Records. The album serves as her first release since You Make It Feel Like Christmas (2017) and was preceded by two singles: "Somebody Else's" and "Swallow My Tears". It also includes the duet "Purple Irises" with husband Blake Shelton, which was released in February 2024.

Stefani described Bouquet as being full of "seventies pop-rock radio gems" with Nashville influence. The album opens with "Somebody Else's", a heartland rock song combining elements of Stefani's pop and Shelton's country sounds. Its lyrics describe letting go of a former relationship ("I don't know what a woman like me was doing with a man like you").

The album closes with "Purple Irises", a duet with Shelton, serving as the only collaboration. The love song was originally intended as a solo song, but was lyrically revised to include Shelton. The couple sings about finding love with each other after past heartbreaks. Stefani's lyric "It's not 1999 / But this face is still mine" refers to what she believes was a highlight in her life, and how she has changed since then.

Bouquet debuted at number 95 on the US Billboard 200 issue for the week dated November 30, 2024 with 13,000 units in its opening week, becoming Stefani's second album to not debut in the top 10 and her lowest debut on the chart.
