Oh hoist the charts and prime your hearts
To tales of stocks that fell apart
In a cubicle a trader sat
Dreaming of riches and all of that
For every rise there's a deeper fall
The market's cry the trader's brawl
Oh ride the waves of fiscal gales
In stocks and bonds where many flails
With a click and a swipe he placed his bet
On a tech stock the safest yet
But alas and alack it tumbled down
Leaving our hero with a frown
For every win there's a loss untold
In the market's grip your fate's behold
Oh sail the seas of buy and sell
Where fortunes dive and soar pell-mell
"Oh why did I not see" he cried
"The bearish signals far and wide?
My portfolio's turned to dust
In trading algorithms I misplaced my trust"
He bought on hype sold in despair
A cycle relentless yet hardly fair
For every meme stock's fleeting grace
A dozen more fall flat on their face
Hear the siren's song of the market's crash
The trader's dreams to ashes dash
Yet still they sail through storm and gale
In pursuit of the wind-blown financial trail
So here's to the traders bold and brash
With portfolios turned to ash
May your next venture be less dire
Lest your funds again catch fire
