IN THE CORNFIELDS
I walk on concrete, but every time I go and see you
It's like I'm in the cornfields again,
Playing in the back of my house of my childhood
I could hear the birds singing, in the scaffolded building
And even if i breathe a dusty air, isn't beauty in the eye of the beholder ?
And I like the cruelty of it all, and the scars of the city remind me
Those of my heart when it falls, because you knew it all
Behind the innocence of your smile
