Jalon Brown - Senioritis Lyrics

Jalon Brown - Senioritis Lyrics

Senioritis
As we go on
We remember
All the times we
Had together
And as our lives change
Come whatever
We will still be
Friends forever

Listen
The year's about to end
And I miss all of my friends
The way that we'd laugh together
When everyone was in
The car and it was dark and everyone would play pretend
That we were in a movie but it was only in our heads

Now we're coming to a close
And I don't think we'll get together
We lost our last school year
And it don't seem to get better
I want to hug them all
And show them all of my new tricks
I want to cry and bawl
But not cuz of something like this

I want to make a movie with all of our favorite songs
We'll get together graduate then everybody can move on
But I don't think we'll get that so I wrote you all this song
The class of 2020 ain't the type to move along

I'm gonna miss the freshmen who I took under my wing
I'm gonna miss the sophomores who treated us as kings
I'm gonna miss the juniors who won't ever fade away
Mostly I'm gonna miss the seniors, wish that we were here to stay

We won't get our graduation, we won't get our senior prom
We won't get to groan and grumble bout all the pictures with our moms
We won't get to tell the stories we were told to us by parents
Or people that we love, no, we'll never get to share it

We'll never sing in class again; play football in the fall
With the people that we love who were always late for the call
Attendance isn't mandatory but it's not allowed, either
We'll never do a show again inside that gorgeous theatre

We'll never take pictures of each other when we're eating
We'll never take for granted information the teacher are feeding
We'll never have our earbuds in in class cuz we don't care
But now we care so much because there is nobody there

We'll never get to skip for fun
Or play that senior game
We might move on but I know things
Will never be the same

I want to hold my friends and tell them everything is fine
And it will be, don't get me wrong, I just wish that it was right

But we're strong we're tough we fight for things older people have not
Climate change, rearrange the financially distraught
Politics are understood more than ever before
The only ones I know who'd take anything but war

We love and care and post and share and let each other know
That even through the darkness we are never letting go
This part is to let my friends and everyone who hears this know
That just because your by yourself does not mean you're alone

As we go on
We remember
All the times we
Had together
And as our lives change
Come whatever
We will still be
Friends forever

As we go on
We remember
All the times we
Had together
And as our lives change
Come whatever
We will still be
Friends forever
