Sunday mornin' sunshine, I feel the Lord's embrace,
On a gravel road to church, I'm filled with His grace,
I see the apple trees swayin' in the summer wind,
Remindin' me of goodness, love that never ends.
Love, joy, peace, these fruits of life's endeavor,
Patience, kindness, goodness, lastin' forever,
Faithfulness, gentleness, self-control so true,
In the garden of His Spirit, I'll always walk with You.
Plowin' fields of patience, in life's big ol' farm,
With every seed of kindness, I feel the Savior's charm,
Joy is like the sweet corn, growin' row by row,
Watered by the Spirit, it surely starts to grow.
Love, joy, peace, these fruits of life's endeavor,
Patience, kindness, goodness, lastin' forever,
Faithfulness, gentleness, self-control so true,
In the garden of His Spirit, I'll always walk with You.
Beneath the weepin' willows, where mercy's leaves hang low,
I find my daily courage, as faith begins to flow,
Gentleness like dandelions, scatterin' seeds of hope,
The Spirit's guide, my steady hand, through life's rugged slope.
Love, joy, peace, these fruits of life's endeavor,
Patience, kindness, goodness, lastin' forever,
Faithfulness, gentleness, self-control so true,
In the garden of His Spirit, I'll always walk with You.
In the barn at twilight, I see God's plan unfold,
Workin' through the shadows, we gather harvest gold,
Faithfulness in every step, and every load we bear,
When the Spirit's in the workin', He's always standin' there.
Love, joy, peace, these fruits of life's endeavor,
Patience, kindness, goodness, lastin' forever,
Faithfulness, gentleness, self-control so true,
In the garden of His Spirit, I'll always walk with You.
