But why, I ask, for what purpose? The redundance of excuse has been more than bared. No more with your dance of deception through the shadows of the moonlight
No more the holding of claims to that which is not yours, for I am free...
Lend me your ears I've got something to say
You can miss tomorrow's contingencies when stuck on yesterday
I did not create the game but I, I came to play
And I'm in it for the long haul and I'm going all the way
You've got to find happiness the only thing you're born with is innocence
I've been like this ever since I lost my bliss in 96'
I take the shots but sometimes I miss
I crawled up out of the abyss and I wound up like this
You can be just like me, you can be just like me
When it comes to problems everybody has them
And I'm known to get lost inside my own sarcasm
But the people tend to focus on what they have or not
Never taking time to appreciate what they got
Read between the lines much of what you see is disguised
It's easy to be blinded by the little white lies they're hiding
It's sad you turned yourself into what you hated
But you're always gonna fear the monsters you created
I was gonna tell you something but from my mind it flees
Do what it takes to set your mind at ease
You should always give back a little more than you took
And you change the way you look at life to change how life looks
You can be just like me
Lost but now I see
Dropped them chains off of me
You can be just like me
Here I come, don't count me out
