From the first time that I saw you
Looking up from your momma's arms
Through the skinned knees and the pigtails
A toothless smile and all your charms
As I sit here thinking about how all of this came to be
From rattles and teething biscuits to bouncing you on my knee
From falling off your bike
To teaching you how to drive a car
All the trials and tribulations the bruises and scars
I know it ain't been easy, at times I've made you mad
I know it's all been worth it
I'm just so proud to be your Dad
My little girl is getting married
The time it passes how it flies
My little girl is getting married
Damn near enough to make me cry
Now before me stands a woman
Where a little girl used to be
In just a few short minutes locked arm in arm, you and me
We'll walk on down the aisle
Where I will give you to another man
I've tried hard to be there for you daughter I've done the best I can
My little girl is getting married, the time it passes how it flies
My little girl is getting married, damn near enough to make me cry
My little girl is getting married, oh hell that's more than enough
To make this old man cry
