The passion
How do you keep your passion?
But I was passionately involved with music when I was twelve years old
And that was when-, when I found music, when I discovered a, a whole world of jazz
I was just, that was it
Got passionately involved, and that's never changed
I, I have more passion now about music
I think I'm better equipped to express the passion
The passion
But when you ask me how do you keep it going
That I don't know, that's the hard part
To stay passionate in a, in a business that certainly ignores, you know real feelings
Some things can't be packaged, cool, you know what I mean?
It seems that the people who really succeed wildly in this business
Somehow get further and further removed from that passion
Which is what drew them to the business in the first place
That's the great tradition of making music I think
It's gotta mean something
With anything to do with music, I
From young I had to, uh, feel the fire inside all of the music
Is my hobby, my profession, my-
That's what I do, you know
Me, I love to go to work
The music business, a lot of guys don't stay at it for forty years
You know, it's true
And you gotta, you gotta sing, dude
Those strippers'll kill you
