jmarshhh - the journey Lyrics

My Gramps used to call me Tiger when I was younger
And I'd be lying if I said I wasn't missing it
Reloading the memory like I failed the mission quick
Where'd I go wrong
Retracing my steps to try and find the defining moment
Try to recognize my mistakes so that I can own it
So that I can grow up, so that I can get to all the places I wanna be on time
But I mean I guess you don't have to be punctual, you just gotta make it
And that's all that matters
'Cause most of the time it's not about where you're at but how you got there
And wherever you're going, I hope you take care
Because wherever I am, I am doing fine
I'm here for a good and a long time
And I want them to hear every little song of mine
Imma play it loud and like that little light imma let me shine
Yeah
Because I used to have a tendency to dim my own light
I think we all do and it's kinda sad
Used to be shooting stars
And now I'm searching for something I always had
But hey that's the journey ain't it
That's what makes it life
And you just gotta do what you can to make it feel right
And I'm up every night writing these thoughts in my Discord server
My mind's inside a computer
I'm the first person to shoot her
First person to breathe, first person to leave
First person to
But hey that's the journey ain't it, yeah
My mom used to call me Bum when I was younger
I mean she still do but I kinda miss it
Reloading the memory like I failed the mission
Where'd I go wrong
Retracing my steps to try and find the defining moment
Writing these thoughts in my Discord server
My mind's inside a computer
I'm the first person in third person, checking my corners
Third person to mourn her, third person these horrors
A third person explorer
I dove into my own well, it's just a desert to me
But hey that's the journey ain't it
It's all apart of the journey ain't it

The real me, is in the real world
Where you
