The funny thing about this boat
I don't remember where I got it from I think it was a gift but I can see
That it was used long before it was given to me
And all the seagulls they've become my friends
They like to float around the hull
And sometimes I hear the voices from beyond
Making little echoes in my skull
It's time to do or die
When you're sailing on your own
Tracked by time of flight
As you drift into the storm
I get the strangest feeling
As they pass me in the sky

Sometimes I get a sense of fear
Of what I can never really tell
It's just a bit uneasy like the floor under my feet
Reminding me of all the times I fell
Well as the captain of this ship I must admit
I'm still not used to it
And to the solitary sailors just like me
We split the waves but we surely share the sea
It's time to do or die
When you're sailing on your own
Tracked by time of flight
As you drift into the storm
I get the strangest feeling
As they pass me in the sky
Satellite
Satellite
I think about it almost every day
I feel like I won't get a second chance
Well that would be okay if I could know what it was for
But I guess that it would just defeat the point
So I just keep on bobbing up and down
I've come to realize a simple truth
That nothing could be greater than the things that I have got
'Cause they're the only things that I have known
It's time to do or die
When you're sailing on your own
Tracked by time of flight
As you drift into the storm
I get the strangest feeling
As they pass me in the sky
