John Mayer - Sob Rock Lyrics

Last Train Home

If you wanna roll me
Then you gotta roll me all night long
And if you wanna use me
Then you gotta use me 'til I'm gone

I'm not a fallen angel, I just fell behind
I'm out of luck and I'm out of time
If you don't wanna love me, let me go
I'm runnin' for the last train
I'm runnin' for the last train home

If you wanna know me
Then you gotta know me through and through
And if you're gonna hurt me
Then you gotta hold me next to you

No matter how you work it, things go wrong
I put my heart where it don't belong
So if you're comin' with me, let me know
Maybe you're the last train
Maybe you're the last train home

I'm on the last train runnin'
I'm on the last train runnin'
And I surrender
And I surrender
I'm on the last train runnin'
I'm on the last train runnin'
And I surrender
And I surrender
I'm on the last train runnin'
I'm on the last train runnin'
And I surrender
And I surrender
I'm on the last train runnin'
I'm on the last train runnin'
And I surrender
And I surrender
(Oh, yeah)
(Ooh)

Shouldnt Matter but It Does

Should've been open, should've done more

Should've learned a lesson from the year before

Should've been honest, should've just cried

Should've told me there was nothing left inside

Now the road keeps rollin' on forever

And the years keep pullin' us apart

We lost something, I still wonder what it was

It shouldn't matter

Shouldn't matter but it does

You should've just broken, you should've come clean

You should've been sad instead of bein' so f*ckin' mean

It shouldn't be easy, but it shouldn't be hard

You shouldn't be a stranger in your own backyard

Now the road keeps rollin' on forever

And the years keep pullin' us apart

I know it's over, I'm just sayin' this because

It shouldn't matter

It shouldn't matter but it does

I shouldn't be angry, I shouldn't hold on

I shouldn't leave you messages in every little song

It could've been always, it could've been me

We could've been busy namin' baby number three

Now the road keeps rollin' on forever

And the years keep pullin' us apart

If it's on someone, then I blame the both of us

It shouldn't matter

Shouldn't matter but it

Shouldn't matter

Shouldn't matter but it

Shouldn't matter

Shouldn't matter but it does

New Light

(Ah)
(Ah)

I'm the boy in your other phone
Lightin' up inside your drawer at home, all alone
Pushin' forty in the friendzone
We talk and then you walk away, every day
Oh, you don't think twice 'bout me
And maybe you're right to doubt me, but

But if you give me just one night
You're gonna see me in a new light
Yeah, if you give me just one night
To meet you underneath the moonlight
Oh, I want a take two, I wanna breakthrough
I wanna know the real thing about you
So I can see you in a new light

Take a ride up to Malibu
I just wanna sit and look at you, look at you
What would it matter if your friends knew?
Who cares what other people say anyway?
Oh, we can go far from here
And make a new world together, baby

'Cause if you give me just one night
You're gonna see me in a new light
Yeah, if you give me just one night
To meet you underneath the moonlight
Oh, I want a take two, I wanna breakthrough
I wanna know the real thing about you
So I can see you in a new light

(Ayy, ayy)
(Ayy, ayy)
(Ayy, ayy)
(Ayy, ayy)
(Ayy, ayy)
(Ayy, ayy)
(Ayy, ayy)
Ah

Yeah, if you give me just one night
You're gonna see me in a new light
Yeah, if you give me just one night
To meet you underneath the moonlight

What do I do with all this?
What do I do with all this love that's runnin' through my veins for you?
What do I do with all this?
What do I do with all this love that's runnin' through my veins for you?
What do I do with all this?
What do I do with all this love that's runnin' through my veins for you?
What do I do with all this?
What do I do with all this? Ooh yeah

Why You No Love Me

Help me understand it
Woke up empty-handed
Never heard you say goodbye

Do you remember
Summer said she'd go forever
Then you turn as cold as the weather
And left me here to cry and cry
Tell me

Why you no love me?
Why you no love me?
Why you no even care?

Why you no love me?
Why you no love me?
Why you no will be there?

Shattered, come to find out none of it mattered
Empty like the promise you made me
Flat out on the floor, oh no
Hurt me once, I'll let it be
Hurt me twice, you're dead to me
Three times makes you family
Why can't you see I'm yours?
Tell me

Why you no love me?
Why you no love me? (Why you no love me?)
Why you no even care?
Don't you know I want you?
Why you no love me? (Why you no love me, baby?)
Why you no love me? (Why you no love me?)
Why you no will be there?

Why you no love me?
Why you no love me?
Why you no even care?
Don't you know I want you?
Why you no love me? (Why you no love me, baby?)
Why you no love me? (Why you no love me, girl?)
Why you no will be there? (Why you no will be there?)

Why you no will be
Why you no will be there?

Wild Blue

Never seen the sun before
Lyin' on the ocean floor
I'm walkin' through the wilderness
And livin' off the loneliness

Oh, wild blue, deeper than I ever knew
Wild blue on a bed of grey
Oh, baby, what a wild blue
I found myself when I lost you

Yeah, yeah
Oh

All the tears I meant to cry
Dance across the evenin' sky
And in my sorrow, I can see
That missin' you belongs to me

Oh, wild blue, deeper than I ever knew
Wild blue on a bed of grey
Oh, baby, what a wild blue
I found myself when I lost you

Wild blue, deeper than I ever knew
It's a wild blue since you went away
Oh, baby, what a wild blue
I found myself when I lost you

And you'll never know
The unlikely beauty in letting you go

Shot in the Dark

It's a hard run, loving like we do
Takes way too long to get over you
And remember the line we drew
But call me over and I'm coming through

We're searching for the night together
Where we don't fall apart
Might be now and it might be never
It's just another shot in the dark
It's just another shot in the dark

And I wonder what it all means
Strange conversation with you in my dreams
And I don't know what I'm gonna do
I've loved seven other women and they all were you

We had a run of bad romances
They always missed the mark
So close your eyes now and take your chances
It's just another shot in the dark
It's just another shot in the dark

I want you in the worst way
Is the gate code still your birthday?

If you thought you met your Casanova
And he left you with a broken heart
Remember when it's done and over
It was only just a shot in the dark
It was only just a shot in the dark
It's just another shot in the dark
It's just another shot in the dark
Come on now

It's just another
It was just another now
It's just another
It was just another now
It's just another
It was just another now
It's just another
It was just another now

I Guess I Just Feel Like

I guess I just feel like
I guess I just feel like
Nobody's honest, nobody's true
Everyone's lyin' to make it on through
I guess I just feel like
I'm the same way too

I guess I just feel like
Good things are gone
And the weight of my worries
Is too much to take on
I think I remember the dream that I had
That love's gonna save us from a world that's gone mad
I guess I just feel like
What happened to that?

I guess I just feel like
The joke's gettin' old
And the future is fading
And the past is on hold
But I know that I'm open, and I know that I'm free
And I'll always let hope in, wherever I'll be
And if I go blind, I'd still find my way
I guess I just felt like
Givin' up today

Til the Right One Comes

Well, the lucky in love call themselves winners
And losers are sinners who have gone astray
As if I woke up lonely one morning
Looked around and decided I would stay that way, oh

You knock me down and you call me crazy
You say I'm never gonna love someone
Give it time now and you might find maybe, I
Prove you wrong when the right one comes
Won't be long 'til the right one comes

And I know people
Broke down and defeated
Lost what they needed in some miserable war
So forgive me if I might look around for a minute
Before jumping right in it, I just want to be sure

Some people 'round here been calling me crazy
Some people say I'll never love someone
That's alright, give it time and maybe, I
Prove you wrong when the right one comes
Won't be long 'til the right one comes

(Yeah-yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)
(Yeah-yeah) 'til the right one comes

Now I'm lying in my bed
End of a long day
Headed the wrong way down that highway of dreams
When you're a little unsure of what you're headed for
The end of the road ain't as close as it seems

Some people 'round here been calling me crazy
Must be something he's been running from
Stick around now and you might find maybe, I
Prove you wrong when the right one comes
Won't be long 'til the right one comes

'Til the right one comes
'Til the right one comes

Who's that knocking at my door? (Right one comes)
Is it someone I've been looking for? (Right one comes)
And who's that throwing arms around me? (Right one comes)
And telling me she finally found me (right one comes)

'Til the right one comes
'Til the right one comes
'Til the right one comes
'Til the right one comes
'Til the right one comes

Carry Me Away

I'm such a bore, I'm such a bummer
There must be more behind the summer
I want someone to make some trouble
Been way too safe inside my bubble, oh
Take me out and keep me up all night
Let me live on the wilder side of the light

Carry me away
Carry me away
Carry me away
Carry me away
Carry me away
Carry me away

You carnivore, you loose cannon
Can I have some more? I can't understand it
You fast car, you foolish spender
You know you are, and I surrender
So come on over and wake me up
Put some of your tequila in my coffee cup
You know I need you, and that's for sure
You're just the kinda crazy I've been lookin' for

Carry me away
Carry me away
Carry me away
Where the sun hits my face all different
Carry me away
Carry me away
Carry me away

All I Want Is to Be With You

I can fake it and pretend
I don't wanna see your face again
And I can find me someone new
But all I want is to be with you

I can learn how to let you go
And carry on with the one man show
I'll fade away into the blue
But all I want is to be with you
All I want is to be with you

I'll get dressed and hit the town tonight
Meet some faces under neon lights
I'll dance alone with deja vu
But all I want is to be with you
All I want is to be with you

Oh
Oh
Oh

They said I'd hurt you, said I'd run
Just like I always do with everyone
But you were different, I was true
And all I want is to be with you
All I want is to be with you
All I want is to be with you

All I want is
All I want is
All I want is
All I want is
All I want is
All I want is
