I was raised with a dream in my hands
Told that I could be anything, I could conquer this land
They taught me the pledge and how to salute the flag
Not to notice color and to take the good with the bad
Over the years I have watched my dreams float out the door
America is not free anymore
Businessmen are buying up our land, shutting down our stores
Our government stands by and watches as our jobs float out the door
America, it's not free anymore
Too many people are worried about the color of skin
More worried about a dollar than their fellow man
They stay home and get rich while you work harder to be poor
America, it's not free anymore
They send millions of dollars that they rob from you and me
But they can't help the starving or get the drugs off of our streets
I doubt this is what our forefathers had in their minds
When they drafted our constitution and put their names on its line
How do you think they would feel if they could see
We've stood by and let the government take away our liberties
Too many people are worried about the color of skin
More worried about a dollar than their fellow man
They stay home and get rich while you work harder to be poor
America, it's not free anymore
So when you are done trying to control all of the oil beneath the sand
Come on back home and help us clean up our own land
Stop sending our children to fight your damn wars
Stop sending our children to fight your damn wars
And maybe, just maybe, yeah maybe America will be free once more
America will be free once more
