ONE
KERRY PATRICK CLARK
One I had heard of the one on the mountain I set off to find
Some great wisdom that he could offer meaning to this life
I had reached the crossroads which way should be mine
Why and how and when... I climbed
I imagined a stone carved palace Heaven placed it where
The sun would shine on the ancient wisdom one last step and there
Was a rusted Winnebago and a silver Corvette
Glad you found me son what'd you expect
Well are you the one with answers are you the one I seek
He smiled a knowing smiled then said to me
CHORUS
One with the breezes that breath your name
One the voice in your heart remains
One in ways that spirit wants to move you son
One with those that honor Thee
One with faith that still believe
There is no greater moment than this one, one
I am touched by your words of wonder yet struggle with this thought
Tell me how do you know this wisdom and can it's ways be taught
He said I live up on a mountain and the words that speak to me
Are found in fortune cookies and free delivery
CHORUS
One with the breezes that breath your name
One the voice in your heart remains
One in ways that spirit wants to move you son
One with those that honor Thee
One with faith that still believe
There is no greater moment than this one, one
I had heard of the one on the mountain
