WHAT I WANT THIS CHRISTMAS
KERRY PATRICK CLARK
I still remember our first Christmas that angel's bigger than our tree
One by one three ornaments you hung each with memories
This one's from the roadside stand we found in Wells, Vermont
Than you turn to me and ask me what I want
CHORUS
What I want for Christmas you already gave
A moment you remember with my name
Though we didn't have much money you said, 'we'll live on love', we laughed
All I want for Christmas I have
We slept beneath the Christmas Tree til our three boys woke us up
'It's Christmas morning mom and dad are those all from Santa Claus
Through a storm of wrapping paper you placed your hand in mine
It's a moment in forever frozen time
CHORUS
What I want for Christmas you already gave
A moment when one memory is made
And your gentle touch reminding me storms will always pass
What I want this Christmas I have
A Christmas quilt and stockings hang the angel's tinier this year
I've called the kids and grandkids they've assured me they'd be here
I can see a twinkle in your eye a reflection of our tree
You say no, you're the light in me
CHORUS
What I want for Christmas you already gave
To hear you softly whispering my name
If you looked into my lifetime as far as we go back
What do I want for Christmas you don't need to ask
All I want for Christmas I have
