Everyday man of steel
Fast asleep behind the wheel
Driving straight through a ballfield
Rising up out of bed
A blunt trauma to the head
What a mess on the windshield
I die a little inside
Every time I hear the news
But I'll try hard, not let it get to me
There's so much life to lose
Stinging cold wind blows
Walkin home through the snow
To his bed, a black hole
But she can't muster a tear
It might rust all the gears
In her face, and her soul
As he shrivels away
She goes on with the day
Putting on her mascara
Circuit boards ain't sincere
He's still waitin on that tear
She's got eyes like sahara
At the site of the crash
Nothing now but some ash
To the pavement bestowed
Grieving family mourns
Oh how many times they warned
Him be careful on the road
I die a little inside
Every time I hear the news
But I'll try hard, not let it get to me
There's to much life to lose
To lose
