Half past nine, I hate first lines, I'm always tempted to say something obnoxious or offensive
Like I love you, I miss you, I could die with you and it wouldn't mean a thing if I didn't say your name
I'd just be acting brave

Acting brave with a microphone in a room full of people

So I spend my time looking for those lines that make me look smarter and wiser than I am
Maybe it's something in simple expression that makes me wanna use convoluted ways to say those things
I see others put in there winks and there smiles

So is it just me or does your jetpack is faulty or failing
Most days I feel my feet clip the tops of the trees just below
And I look around and I see we all feel it but no one says it
Like when beauty is just synonymous for expensive and useless
We taste it then we fake it
