The Emperor's garden
Of gold and crimson hues
Was a prision to a nightingale
Who sang of love
A love she dreamed of
One stormy night
Her cage fell to the ground
On a wind so cold it carried knives
Flying so righ
She touched the sky
Never looking back to the see the sadness
That she left behind
Never Knowing where the moon
Would guide her
As the night turns to day
And the stars kneel to pray
You can almost hear her song of life
Each passing day,the Emperor grew pale
Having lost his only sunshine
A broken heart tore him apart
One final breath was taken with a smile
As the velvet song of the nightingale
Flew so high
Piercing the sky
Never looking back to the see the sadness
That she left behind
Never Knowing where the moon
Would guide him
As the night turns to day
And the stars kneel to pray
You can almost hear her song of life
Throught the clouds on the mountains high
Lonely winds sing a lullaby
As the nightingale returns once more
Never looking back to the see the sadness
That she left behind
Never Knowing where the moon
Would guide her
As the night turns to day
And the stars kneel to pray
You can almost hear her song of life
Throught the clouds on the mountains high
Lonely winds sing a lullaby
As the nightingale returns once more
