I've heard of a war that was fought long ago
That would change our whole view of how far man will go
We will torture and kill
We will smother and lead
To get to the power we think we need
I've heard fragile voices with whispers of peace
They warn of a place where it's bent at its knees
Where a human is no longer human to some
Where a child has less value to us than a gun
But something is lurking
It's trying to rise
An evil power in front of our eyes
It draws power from disparity
And their voices claim to set you free
History yells You're not allowed to forget!
But I raise my voice
I tighten my net
The evil that comes from a far away place
- to ruin our home - is what I hope to erase!
The child that I held on my arm
Soft and safe
I am putting it down
I am changing the pace
Cause I don't believe in existing as one
Their voices are calling - I am getting my gun
I am fear
And fear will always prevail
Some knew how to fight me
But they're dead or in jail
As long as I hear them calling my name
I'll devour those nations alive in my flame
I am hope
And I hope that i'll see the day
When I'll smother and blow all the evil away
But until that day I urge
Do not forget
As long as you have me
Evil has not won yet
