Metalium - Revenge Of Tizona Lyrics

Metalium - Revenge Of Tizona Lyrics

[Theme: El Cid / Spain]

Vivar, Burgos,
ano one thousand forty three
brought up with truth
soon to stand for honour and glory

ride on,
fearless through the rain and storm
loyalty and believe in Aragon

I am here,
revenge of Tizona
feel the fear
my vengeance will go far

betrayed by Fernando
no longer protects crown and throne
but legions behind him
still follow the leader they know

dead man
riding through the rain and storm
battle won
as Barbieca takes you home

I am here,
revenge of Tizona
feel the Fear
my vengeance will go far

I am here,
revenge of Tizona
feel the Fear
my vengeance will go far

[Story:]

"El Cid Campeador" (born as Rodrigo
Diaz de Vivar, 1043) was one of the most
successful conqueror in Spain, fighting for
king Fernando with his sword called "Tizona".
When he died in a battle, his legions strapped
his dead body on his horse
"Barbieca" and let it ride into the
battlefield the day after his death.
The enemies escaped in pure panic
as they believed they saw the living dead
ride again.
