I squint my eyes as the light pierce them
I put my foot through the gas pedal

Through this circus of darkness
My eyelids weight my head down

How I long to stop and rest
I want to roam no longer
I want to find a place to call my own
Yet I dread my return home
Because home is not what it used to be

Take this tired vessel right to your doorstep

Your shelter is all the protection I need on a night such as this

I'm sick of my excuses and lies
What good is a vehicle

I'm running low on fuel

So I park this worn down car in the driveway
Open up the wooden door
Crawl up these carpeted stairs
