The mountains look like lying lovers
Silhouettes on powder blue
The innocence of smiling faces
Cause me now to think of you
My place still warm from where I laid
It never cooled because I was replaced
You were what I though had meaning
But I guess for you that was not the case
My memories are of lying lovers
One of which I can't forget
Now I spend my time
Telling books from covers
Wondering what the suffering meant
My voice is not that of the choirs
It's coarse and wrought with self punishment
Because of which I'm hooked to wires
A constant watch where I've been sent
My place still warm from where I laid
It never cooled because I was replaced
You were what I though had meaning
But I guess for you that was not the case
We'll walk our ways
We'll split our paths
We'll sleep beneath
The aftermath
The city is gone
But we remain
We'll drown the past
Forget our names
