N-Sayne - Legalize It Lyrics

Ive picked pockets from hip hoppers n ripped rockers
Been all around the country and lit rockets
Tried to sell some weed to line my thick pockets
All while I was working and getting pissed off at
Office for painting us with the same brush they paint meth dealers
And given a real brother more time for not squealing
The only thing the system does is fill us with corrupt feelings
How a full time working man can wake up with no ceilings
Living in the streets even though he had a house he went to sleep in yesterday
Now when he wakes all he sees is pain painted on his face
And now when he sleeps he dreams of a better place
Comes in and fades away and this happened because he believed in the power of Mary Jane

It's funny hey the money made from the black market
Could fund the country pull us out of debt and get us farther
And a third of that comes from marijuana
With no convicted death rates and results that make us calmer
Legalization would create jobs for farmers
And possibly stave away the harder drugs that want to harm us
It would reduce overcrowding in the prison system
And this is just observation without a current vision

Imagine what we could achieve if we stood on the same side
Don't listen to those fanatical radicals that get paid to lie
They will tell you smoking grass is a form of mental suicide
They will tell you that weed can f*ck you up and cause ya brain to die
But how right can they be when evidence suggests otherwise
If this was a court case their team would be thrown out on bloody lies
I don't care if this causes troubled skies or your bothered by
This type of medicine that gets people floating like their high
Most of us don't care if you have to double price
Just as long as we can get our weed at a shop and not have to sacrifice
Freedom or tarnish our rep or be treated as common low lives
I mean smoking weed has been around since ancient times
Put a tax on it Australia I know you can see the rise, I know you'll see the Rise

I know you know if you tax it right you'll see the tide
Coming in as high as tsunami's ride
The revenue you'd be surprised
It might be all we need to pull the country out of land slide
But what would I know I've never studied economics
Back when I was at school I studied comics
But it brought upon a revolutionary way of thinking
And I don't need a degree in the economy to tell that we are sinking
Everyday inflation like we're living in a balloon
But the wages stay the same like we're a bunch of baboons
Yet they spend a gazillion dollars on a vote that doesn't matter
Let gay people marry already and let me smoke shatter

Let bygons be bygons and work towards peace
This war on drugs is Ludacris open your eyes and see
There is no war on drugs it's just war on you and me
They call it a war on drugs so they can war in the streets
Let bygons be bygons and work towards peace
This war on drugs is Ludacris open your eyes and see
There is no war on drugs it's just war on you and me
They call it a war on drugs so they can war in the streets
