PatChat - Dear Black People Lyrics

PatChat - Dear Black People Lyrics

Dear Black people, let's have a heart to heart
There's a divide in the culture, we're drifting far apart
I'm not racist, I'm saying that to start
Cuz this'll sound bad when I rip your ass apart
A divide in the culture and guess who's to blame
I'm betting it's those who wanna go shame
The middle class black kids for not acting the same
As the lower class black kids they're just not the same
Yeah there are problems with Blacks in America
Now let's focus and breakdown our character
With All Lives Matter our movement was shattered
But you f*cked it up anyway, you left it ass backwards
I think you forgot it's about our rights
Empowerin' ourselves, not hating on whites
I don't get all the looting and raids
Destroying our communities who can explain
Tearing down businesses
The world is our witness, it's ridiculous
In our own music we glorify riches
Brag about cooking up drugs in our kitchens
Brag about drip and drops and bitches
Then get niggas dropped for snitchin
Blame the cops we playing victim
Another shot tensions thicken
I'm not trying to sound cynical, but I think it's hypocritical
We brag about being criminals then claim innocence it's pitiful
Our music is supposed to reflect our lives
Not be a promotion of it in disguise
We wanna rap to get out the trap
So we tell our life stories no paperback
But the songs push kids to aim for that
And when another kid dies who pays for that?
But I know what you're gonna say back,
That I'm white washed, I hate Blacks
That's a racist I hate that
That's lame shit debate that
In high school the Black kids clowned me
I wasn't cool so they laughed around me
They pretended to be blood and crip
But all they did was run their lips
And if I asked what they really did
It was silence, nada, nothing, zip
Why are we a culture of spite
Why is it we wanna go fight
Each other more than for our rights
King's vision has left our sight
And the upper class also plays a part
In why the lower class is made to starve
They don't invest in the cause
They blow cash on foriegn cars
Light nigga, dark nigga, faux nigga, real nigga
Rich nigga, poor nigga, house nigga, field nigga
So why the f*ck we hate niggas?
Why the f*ck we hate whites just 'cuz of their race nigga?
Instead of inner hate why don't we integrate nigga?
Still nigga, still nigga
Sorry If I act whack, I just act me
I don't act black, whatever that means
The solution is to integrate not separate
Think hard and meditate
This isn't a song it's a letter
I'm saying we can do better
We have the choice to stand and fight together
Or do the same shit and stay oppressed forever

Look, like I said I'm not f*cking racist I'm just speaking my mind
'Cause there's a lot of bullshit that Black people do that we just try and avoid blame for
Let's actually man up, ball up, improve the community and stop finding excuses to hate white people
And not change our own culture
Thank you
