Another Christmas with the Cratchets gathered again
There's no meal in the world I would rather attend
With the Christmas goose, the spruce, and kin
Let us bow our heads, thankful, and say an amen
I know the past year has had a lot of stresses. Been tested
Nonetheless we stay true. Stay blessed
Not rich but what of it? Too happy to covet
When the troubles appear we just rise above
I know some folks say we have it harder than most
Let them see us right now as we're carving the roast
In the name of the Father, Son, and the Ghost
I propose on behalf of this family toast
We got hands to hold. We got hands to praise
The Lord works. I can't understand the ways
My cup overfloweth. I've a glass to raise
May the Cratchet's stay blessed 'til the last of day
Because It's all good in the Cratchet house
I know sometimes the portions are half amounts
I know sometimes mother's got to patch a blouse
We are happy. Healthy. And that's what counts
'Cause it's all good in the Cratchet house.
We have more fun than the funds allow
Things may run thin. Never runs without
Let us bow our heads thankful and stay devout. I am grateful
For another one
It's all good in the Cratchet home
I can't believe how quickly you all have grown
Traveling out in the world on your paths unknown
But for Christmas dinner, we all come home
To familiar faces, though traced with ages
This growing up and growing old is getting contagious
You have your roles in the shops,
And Tim, our strolls and our walks
Though next year I think you might be holding up pops
You know I hate to admit it, but as I get older in digits
I see the world has a way of growing colder and distant
Wish I could take it all like a frozen exhibit
A snow globe I can always hold and revisit
But as the grapes of my age ferment
I reflect on how the days were spent
And it was all content, as life was meant
I'm just being sentimental now. Needed to vent because...
Because it's all good in the Cratchet house
I know sometimes the portions are half amounts
I know sometimes mother's got to patch a blouse
We are happy. Healthy. And that's what counts
'Cause it's all good in the Cratchet house
We have more fun than the funds allow
Things may run thin. Never runs without
Let us bow our heads thankful and stay devout. I am grateful
It's all good in the Cratchets lately
Today I'm thankful extra for the goose and gravy
I throw my hands up to the Good Lord daily
'Cause he knew the meek would inherit greatly
My cup overfloweth. My cup overfloweth
There'll never be a day where my face won't show it
My heart overfloweth and my hearth overfloweth
Embrace the family. Embrace the moment
And that phrase stays through all the tough days
Love engraved in these hallways. Always
Who knows where we could end up tomorrow?
Celebrate the good. The rest will follow
'Cause time has a way that it shrinks. It stretches
Ordinary moments grow to be less precious
But I digress, I guess, all I ask
Is we celebrate the blessings before they pass
And now it's all good in the Cratchet house
I know sometimes the portions are half amounts
I know sometimes mother's got to patch a blouse
We are happy. Healthy. And that's what counts
'Cause it's all good in the Cratchet house
We have more fun than the funds allow
Things may run thin. Never runs without
Let us bow our heads thankful and stay devout. I am grateful
It's all good in the Cratchet house
I know sometimes the portions are half amounts
I know sometimes mother's got to patch a blouse
We are happy. Healthy. And that's what counts
'Cause it's all good in the Cratchet house
We have more fun than the funds allow
Things may run thin. Never runs without
Let us bow our heads thankful and stay devout. I am grateful
And let us thank the founder of the feast Ebenezer Scrooge
