I watch the shores as the hands wave goodbye

I closed my eyes the other night I had a dream
I saw a man sinking down who looked like me
It seemed to me he had a smile on his face
It seemed to me that he was happy in this place

Crashing waves woke me up from my sleep
Couldn't believe they must've been least thirty feet
Can't help to wonder if today is that day
I see the faces of the men who've gone away

I lived a life that normal men will never know
I rolled the dice with my life on this boat
Where did it go? Why did the time float away?
Now I'm at home, I'm at peace where I lay
