We got married twice
The first time
What does that mean? Because you said that- What does that mean?
Well, I needed health insurance and I was getting nervous because, ya know, so I
And he was concerned that I didn't have health insurance too
The day we got married, though, he- your dad had bad teeth
Because he grew up in England With all the- ya know, no fluoride in the water
So, I had taken him for a double root canal with crown work
And your dad didn't numb easily so-
Is this part of the marriage story?
This is part of the marriage story
So anyway, then I brought him home
They have to tranquilize him like an elephant because he just didn't numb up
Well then, he ended up sleeping for a while
Then he woke up, he says "Oh my gosh, what time is it?"
And I told him the time and he said "we need to go for a ride"
I said what are you talking about and he says "please, I just need to go for a ride"
So I loaded your dad into the car and he says "let's go to the park"
So we drove up to Griffith Park Observatory
And where did we go but right in front
There's a statue that has, ya know, the different scientists that are there
Copernicus or, I'm not sure who they are
Standing in front of the statue was my friend
Willy Lipsure, and another friend of ours who stood up for us
And we got married literally on the spot, in front of the statue
While your dad was coming off of his dental medication
But I didn't tell anybody
We hadn't told- we didn't tell anybody
But, ya know, I got health insurance
