Black ink
Is raining down
I get my cup
And I fill it up
I want to draw
Better things
I've been practicing
My penciling
Nothing comes close to the fine lines
Made by
A sharp edge dipped in
Divine ink from the sky
One could say that it was not me who
Had the hand in creating you
You are a product of my
Subconscious, you
Represent what I hold
Near and dear and strong and true
My eyes drip black ink
When I think of you
I'll prick my fingers and dig under my nails
I'll dip my pen in my own red ink to imbue you with my truth
You live to serve, not me, but others who need you
You are a reflection of me
And it's selfish for you to not see
What else is out there
Someone wants to love you
I created you to be more
Black ink
Is raining down
There's been a drought
And I pour it out
I want to draw
Better things
But it's time
For others to shine
