I remember building castles, in the sand
With our boy and girl and shovels in our hands
We'd make a little drawbridge to let the people out
And how I'd like a replay of those days
But now those little hands have grown away
Well time passes by like the sand runs through my hands
I never did imagine this would be
So they tell me what's the use crying
There's no denying the cycle of living and
It overwhelms me, with life's many lessons
Too many to mention but I'll be around when the waves wash away
Today we'll build new castles in the sand
With other eyes and feet and little hands
It's another generation for another memory
Ain't burying these treasures in the sand
And oh to love you in tough times and changes
A life rearrangement the bond that we hold to
A promise to love you to have and to hold you
To keep and to guide you whenever the waves take the castle's away
So baby I'll grow old beside you and promise to love you
Together we'll get through cause
No storm will defeat and divide us
Our strength will define us no matter the mountain that we climb
So baby I vow to uphold you and faithfully love you
To care and to nurture you
I kneel before you and promise to serve you
To keep and to guide you whenever the waves take the castles away
