Tick tock... tick tock...
It's 6am on my sacred clock
As I'm born the world is new...
So much of life to wonder through...
So much to see so much to feel... my sense of
Childhood, is very real...
Stories of love to keep me fed... and fairy tales
When it's time for bed...
Tick tock tick tock... I'm 18 now at 10 o'clock...
Not quite a boy not yet a man... There's still so much
I don't understand...
It matters not for, can't you see... The world is one big
Drink for me...
I deeply swallow every drop... and give no thought
To when it might stop...
As time stand still for no one... Only our youth dies young
The candle burning twice as bright...
Burns only half as long
We can't rewind this sacred clock... It ticks until it's through
Nor can we stop the hands of time... cause the
Sacred clock is you
Tick tock... tick tock... So much older now
At 2 o'clock...
Married once but now divorced... With bills to pay
And kids of course
Another woman not my wife... here beside me
Fulfills my life...
And now as morning turns to night... I view it all
In a golden light
As time stands still for no one
We're all just looking for a sign
Only our youth dies young
Time for all the mysteries to unwind
The candle burning twice as bright...
Burns only half as long
We can't rewind this sacred clock... It ticks until it's through
Nor can we stop the hands of time... cause the
Sacred clock is you
Tick tock tick tock... A new child born
At 12 o'clock...
So take your time and wait your turn
In the end the secrets you will learn
To fly... to fly
