In 2024, singer Shavarsh "Shavo" Odadjian debuted his new band Seven Hours After Violet. Featuring Odadjian on bass, the band includes guitarist Michael Montoya, a.k.a. Morgoth Beatz and drummer Josh Johnson from the band Winds of Plague, guitarist-vocalist Alejandro Aranda, and lead vocalist Taylor Barber.
The band made their live debut October 7, 2024 for SiriusXM, then performed their first festival appearance at the 2024 Mayhem Festival in San Bernardino, California. These appearances coincided with the release of the band's self-titled album on October 11, 2024.
