In 2006, Lewis befriended Macklemore on MySpace. Lewis became a professional photographer and started to take photos for Macklemore. The duo became very good friends. As a result of this friendship formed with Macklemore the two teamed up. Lewis produced, recorded, engineered, and mixed all of the duo's music, designed promotional graphics, and directed all their music videos.
