Süp127 - To Desert Lyrics

When day is young arises sun
To warm the earth with light
And in sun's doom, arises moon
To welcome the cool of night
Disturbing night, shining light
In darkness, lies the moon
Yet during day, there lies shade
When the sun shines high at noon
Dark and light always fight to see who will rule the sky
But in the heart of light and dark, the other part will always lie

I begin my journey one foot in front of the other
Sinking in hot sands burning that seem to stretch forever
See no trace of the tracks with the winds constant smoothing
The endless sand dunes continuing, on and on
Heat waves and barren waste, dusk 'til dawn
Blending days, passing in a daze, seem to bring torture upon, any living being
Yet somehow the sidewinder seems satisfied, alive and free
Survival needs met by immediate means
Accepting necessity, no questioning because there's no free choice beckoning
Still I'm stepping, testing destiny, a voice yelling, in the wind
Struggling to find a direction, blind with sand stinging my vision
Persisting, how I was told no man could be living
Searching for greater meaning, trapped in this prison
They shelter me from natural conditions
And so, alone I am fleeing, for once being free, and
What you call suffering is fair to me, for I can barely stand
And in this sandy land, there must be some peace
I collapse, falling to my knees, can I no longer see?
I must not stop, as long as I have energy
Damn, can it be? Has someone heard my pleas?
Upon the horizon, the ocean, I run towards the beach
Running, and what appears to be never approaching, is forever far out of reach
An illusion, if I was not dehydrated
I would have tears to cry for what I have awaited
Water, salty or not, suitable to wade in, soothing to bathe in
But that image faded, merely a moving mirage, a solution my mind had created
Wanting to believe in such desperation, such a crucial situation
That I had found salvation, strongly, that image was shaken
Is this the end, my friend? Will I die here along with my statements?
Wrong in the path I had taken, searching for a new well and dry places
Is it my fate then? In my quest that I invested so much faith in
To lie here unsatiated, well I still refuse to break in
Because it's already too late when, you're almost dead
So instead, I open my eyes, I turned my head
If my time has come to go to that place again
I might as well stare into the sun and pretend
Upon loss of outer sight, there may stem some possible visual inner insight
On my deathbed, this cost is light
Brightly shining in my blindness, what I find is a sign so slight
A shaded flashing, jaded by the black thing
For what could be above me but the infinite source?
A force? That I'm lastly asking, a raven, a bird passing
Maybe a vulture, a saving glance of life
The crazy notion that this torture might actually turn out all right
So despite the burden of my torso
I gather some hidden force and go
In the direction of the flash that persuaded
Me to use my last portion of power and to this day it amazes
How I retained it, but crawling on my last leg I am given what I beg
As splashing my face is underwater I made it
Yes, real water tasted
Saying thanks to the most sacred as I drank it
At last, an oasis
