Staind - Confessions of the Fallen Album Lyrics

Staind - Confessions of the Fallen Lyrics

Lowest In Me

Trying to let go, but you won't let me
So I'm closed off, hating all I see
Play the victim so carelessly
You're addicted to uncertainty

Uncertainty

You bring out the lowest that I have in me
I feel the chaos and the gravity
And I can't escape the bitterness, I can't change
You bring out the lowest that I have
Lowest that I have in me

Try to hold back all the anger
But it's a trigger and I can't relax
Losing focus on the things you lack
So you push me to the brink
And I don't know what is next

You bring out the lowest that I have in me
I feel the chaos and the gravity
And I can't escape the bitterness, I can't change
You bring out the lowest that I have
Lowest that I have in me

Lowest of low
I'm so f*cking high

Sever all ties
I don't recognize what I've become
Thread is pulled, you've made an animal

You bring out the lowest that I have in me
I feel the chaos and the gravity
And I can't escape the bitterness, I can't change
You bring out the lowest that I have
Lowest that I have in me
Lowest that I have in me

Was Any Of It Real?

If I had told you that I need you
Would you throw it in my face?
If I had told you that I want you
Would you still look at me the same?

All I know is gone
Lost inside a moment
That I can't control
If all I know is wrong
Don't know what to feel
Was any of it real?

If you had told me I were breaking down
Would I have even changed?
Or were we passed the point of no return
It's too late to be saved

All I know is gone
Lost inside a moment
That I can't control
If all I know is wrong
Don't know what to feel
Was any of it real?

It's salt in the wound 'cause I
Just cannot find the reason
I know that I don't feel right
And I can't shake the feeling

All I know is gone
Lost inside a moment
That I can't control
If all I know is wrong
Don't know what to feel
Was any of it real?

In This Condition

Is there something more for me?
I know there's better out there
Make it more like a dream
Less like a nightmare

Think I've been burned enough
Haven't I hurt enough?
My eyes have seen behind the curtain
And it's all f*cked up
Feel like my world's on fire
Can't make it all make sense
Can't be the only one
Who's torn and feeling turned against

Is there something more for me?
I know there's better out there
Make it more like a dream
Less like a nightmare
Don't want to have to feel
Like something's always missing
How can I carry on in this condition?

I feel it caving in
Still stuck in between
Where everything went wrong
And where I know I need to be
Too late to turn back now
I'm gone without a trace
If you could find me
Would it even matter anyway?

Is there something more for me?
I know there's better out there
Make it more like a dream
Less like a nightmare
Don't want to have to feel
Like something's always missing
How can I carry on in this condition?

There's something more for me
I know there's better out there
Make it more like a dream
Less like a nightmare

Is there something more for me?
I know there's better out there
Make it more like a dream
Less like a nightmare
Don't want to have to feel

Here And Now

You, you always said
That I'm better when I'm not trapped in my head
And you tried to explain
But forgiveness feels much better than the pain

Here and now
After everything we thought we knew
Broken lies and shattered truths
Lost and found
Every memory that's bleeding through
They all just seem to lead me back to you

And I can finally see
The mistakes I made are glaring back at me
For all I've done, for all I've lost
'Cause the "in the moment" wasn't worth the cost

Here and now
After everything we thought we knew
Broken lies and shattered truths
Lost and found
Every memory that's bleeding through
They all just seem to lead me back to you
They lead me back to you

Here and now
After everything we thought we knew
Broken lies and shattered truths
Lost and found
Every memory that's bleeding through
They all just seem to lead me back to

Here and now
After everything we thought we knew
Broken lies and shattered truths
Lost and found
Every memory that's bleeding through
They all just seem to lead me back
They all just seem to lead me back
They all just seem to lead me back to you

Out Of Time

If I could rewrite the story without all the glory
Would you still see the ending?
Was something under the surface
That serves me no purpose?
I need a break from the bending

Blinded by the madness
No point getting past it
Penance for my crimes
Don't wanna fade off in the distance
Push me passed the limits
Am I out of-
Am I out of time?

I take it all as an omen, the pages feel broken
We still can change how it's written
Is it hopeless, too out of focus
To see through the past?

Blinded by the madness
No point getting past it
Penance for my crimes
Don't wanna fade off in the distance
Push me passed the limits
Am I out of-
Am I out of time?

Is it hopeless, too out of focus
To see through the past

Blinded by the madness
No point getting past it
Penance for my crimes
Don't wanna fade off in the distance
Push me passed the limits
Am I out of-
Am I out of time?

Blinded by the madness
No point getting past it
Penance for my crimes
Don't wanna fade off in the distance
Push me passed the limits
Am I out of-
Am I out of time?

Cycle Of Hurting

I think I used to pray
I thought it would save me from my hell
But what they never say
Nobody's God ever saves you from yourself

And all my faults
Are all my fault
And I just want
To feel it all

Feel it all
Feel it all

How can I face what's under the surface
When nothing is working?
How can I break away from the burden?
This cycle of hurting

I'm still waiting to change
I'm still waiting to wake up as someone else
At the end of the day
I'm too stubborn to get any help

And all my faults
Are all my fault
And I just want
To feel it all

How can I face what's under the surface
When nothing is working?
How can I break away from the burden?
This cycle of hurting

How can I face what's under the surface
When nothing is working?
How can I break away from the burden?
This cycle of hurting
Away from the burden
This cycle of hurting

The Fray

I was close, I was so close
To everything that I could want
Now I'm cold, now I'm so cold
Everything I had is gone

Holding on to suffering, won't release my pain
Circumstances follow me, no one left to blame

Finding comfort in the fray
The truth inside the lies
Finding solace in the gray
There is no black and white
All the colors seem to fade
Moving further from the light
Finding comfort in the fray

You were gone in an instant
It all just got away from me
Couldn't find what I'm missing
But now I find it hard to breathe

Holding on to suffering, won't release my pain
Circumstances follow me, no one left to blame

Finding comfort in the fray
The truth inside the lies
Finding solace in the gray
There is no black and white
All the colors seem to fade
Moving further from the light
Finding comfort in the fray

Monsters in your sleep
The secrets that you keep
The choices that you make
Still there when you're awake

Finding comfort in the fray
Finding comfort in the fray
The truth inside the lies
Finding solace in the gray
There is no black and white
All the colors seem to fade
Moving further from the light

Finding comfort in the fray

Better Days

I've been feeling out of control
There's no healing between all the roads
And there's no comfort
Am I losing my soul?
Is it too late, to just let 'em go?

And someday I will wake up and everything has changed
Until then I will dream of better days
Still living in the sorrow and learning from the pain
Until then I will dream of better days

I tried to hold on but it slipped through my hands
Do you believe in a second chance for all we've been through?
Don't you think we deserve so much more than this hurt?

And someday I will wake up and everything has changed
Until then I will dream of better days
Still living in the sorrow and learning from the pain
Until then I will dream of better days
Of better days

I've been feeling so out of control
There's no healing

And someday I will wake up and everything has changed
Until then I will dream of better days
Still living in the sorrow and learning from the pain
Until then I will dream of better days

Someday I will wake up and everything has changed
Until then I will dream of better days
Still living in the sorrow and learning from the pain
Until then I will dream of better days
Of better days
Of better days
Of better days

Hate Me Too

Keep getting caught in another crisis
Always a problem, don't know why I'm like this

I lost you to habits, I took you for granted
I hurt you, I added more pain to the damage

(Watch it)
(Watch it burn with me)

Keep getting caught in another crisis
Always a problem, don't know why I'm like this
If you don't love me, can't say I blame you
I've known me better and I think I hate me, too

I think I'm an addict
To chaos and madness
To feeling the sadness
Burn it all down just to play in the ashes

Keep getting caught in another crisis
Always a problem, don't know why I'm like this
If you don't love me, can't say I blame you
I know me better, and I think I hate me
I think I hate me, too

I hate me, too
I hate me, too
I hate me, too

I hurt you
I added more pain to your damage

Keep getting caught in another crisis
Always a problem, don't know why I'm like this
If you don't love me, can't say I blame you
I know me better, and I think I hate me
I think I hate me, too

I hate me, too

Confessions Of The Fallen

You don't know me at my weakest
Never seen me fall
I'm the darkness, I'm the shadows
Dancing on your wall
On your wall

I gave all I had, still turned out bad
The angel has gone and moved over
I can't go back, so now I have
The devil on both of my shoulders

I'm not saying I'm all evil, but I'm not all good
F*ck up way more than most people
Way more than I should

Way more than I should

I gave all I had, still turned out bad
The angel has gone and moved over
I can't go back, so now I have
The devil on both of my shoulders

I'm the darkness, I'm the shadows
Dancing on your wall

I gave all I had, still turned out bad
The angel has gone and moved over
I can't go back, so now I have
The devil on both of my shoulders
Ohh-oh-ohh

The devil on both of my shoulders
