I got my drivers license last week
Just like we always talked about
Cause you were so excited for me
To finally drive up to your house
But today I crashed my car in the suburbs
Crying cause you weren't around
And you're probably with that blond boy
Who administered my test
Can you tell him that I'm sorry
About how I wasn't really driving my best
Cause that day I drove in the wrong side of traffic
But anyway, I wanna say that I still love you
And I know I'm not perfect, cause I've never swerved away for no one
And every time I drive all I see is pedestrians run
On the bright side it's good that you weren't in my passenger's seat
Cause that would have been weird when I totaled my car on your street
And all my friends are tired
Of me showing how my car go vroom but
I kinda feel sorry for them
Cause they'll never see fire hydrant go boom
Yeah today I broke my hubba-cap in the suburbs
Cause I was so hubba hubba for you
You know about those blue guys in the wheelchairs that you see in parking lots?
Apparently if you park there, you get towed, it's an ADA spot!
I guess they really mean it when they say they enforce parking
And whoopsies about your mailbox I'll admit that's on me
Red lights, stop signs
Those are just suggestions
This yellow sign, or this one, like what do they even mean?
Says wrong way, or one way
Do they mean literally, babe?
(Ohhhhhh yes they do)
Sidewalks I'd drive across
I still hear your voice yelling
"Please no! drive slow!'
Can't drive past the places
We used to
Go to
I'm no longer allowed to, babe
(Ooooopsies)
And I know I'm not perfect cuz the judge says I'm a threat to everyone
There's a picture of me at the DMV saying don't let this guy in
Now mom has to always be sitting in the passenger seat
I hit a few light posts, now the city condemned your whole street
And I'm sorry I lied about getting my license last week
(I love you)
