There was a day, a time when we had freedom to run
The trees of fall, cascading downward, silently
Shafts of light, illuminate the forest floor
Running along like children, we had no quarrel for anything
Remember the days when we would run
Sharing life like children do, well now it's gone
Giving away what we need most
We traded in our innocence, forever lost
And in our way, the world was a refuge state
Until we heard the sounds of tearing, smashing down
Burning holes, futures covered in black smoke
Turning back, looking through the fire
