I can still see Granddaddy driving me home
On his lap I felt so grown
He made me feel like I was driving that tractor
Yet I was only four sis was two
I still remember the sound and its color sweet blue
When I got to the top of the hill
I felt like I could fly
I'd look at you mum and dad with a cheeky grin
Every day was magic
Too many places to begin
On Grand-daddy's farm
Man I wish I could show you those days
My daughter and son
With Nanna Dad Mum and little sis
Such beautiful days ones I always miss
With many dogs and pussy cats
Our life was complete and that's a fact
Grandpa would lift me off that tractor
And I'd run to my little sis
She'd smile at me and give my cheek a sloppy kiss
I'd race her to the table where Nanna would wait
With cookies and milk served on that old blue plate
We'd weave through rows of daisies and blooms
The air was sweet with their fragrant perfume
The sunlight danced on petals so bright
In that flower farm everything felt right
So so right
On Grand-daddy's farm
Man I wish I could share those days with everyone
With Nanna Dad Mum and little sis
Such beautiful days
Ones I always miss
With rolling hills and skies so vast
Those memories oh they'll always last
Time has a way of slipping through
But the heart holds tight to the love it knew
Now I see my kids running wild and free
And I hope they'll have a farm like it for their memories
On Grand-daddy's farm
Man I wish I could show you those day
My daughter and son
Remember not that long ago
On Grand-daddy's farm
