"The Contract" is a song by Twenty One Pilots from their eighth studio album, Breach. It was released as the lead single on June 12, 2025.

To build anticipation, several teaser snippets of the track were strategically released: on June 3, June 5, June 7, June 9, and finally on June 11, featuring both unedited lyrics and clips from the music video. Additionally, these teasers were posted via the band's social media accounts as well as through the thematic "Blurryface" Twitter/X account.

The song premiered on Apple Music 15 minutes before its release on other major streaming services.

The music video for "The Contract" was released on June 12, 2025 at 12pm ET. The video was directed by Frédéric De Pontcharra. It serves as a direct sequel to "Paladin Strait" music video. The video was filmed on May 12, 2025 after they played The Clancy World Tour in Manchester, UK and then traveled to London to film in a studio before continuing the tour the next day. The video depicts Clancy (played by Tyler Joseph) being hypnotized by Nico's mind, while Clancy's mind is trapped as he sees necromancers all around him, seemingly hallucinating, until the Torchbearer (played by Josh Dun) gives him a jacket, seemingly telling Clancy to stay calm and keep his promises and contracts intact, while being hypnotized by Nico's mind.
