Stairway Silhouettes
I saw them slip into the cracks
They faded
From my point of view
Into a world where they belong
A shattered piece of falling glass to the ground
My feet step carefully
Onto a place a sacred grass
Awaiting dreams and such a perfect reverie
I gave away the word
I gave it to a friend
Who said he gave it to a girl
Whose glasses shattered
Yes the world's a mystery
The world's a mystery
The opening to some cataclysm
You failed to see approaching
And I'm devoting this moment to premise
Becoming some sort of menace
To the preordained
When Framed by the femur bones of fallen foes
Something arose
At a scheduled path
And I wondered if I could have miscalculated celestial math
Leave it a path beyond my gaze
Beyond my mind
The world's a mystery
This world's a mystery
This world's a mystery
Behind a line that's curved and never straight
This world's a mystery
The ratio of 1:1.618
Stairway Silhouettes
I saw them slip into the cracks
They faded
From my point of view
Into a world where they belong
