Well worn roads
Lead almost everywhere I go
And almost everything I know was shown to me
By hands as hard as stone
I don't know where I'd be and I wouldn't know where to go
If not for old, hard hands and
Well worn roads
I travel these old roads until I need to go somewhere they don't
I branch off on my own from time to time
When i get turned around and lose my way off of the beaten path
It sure feels good to see the signs of
Well worn roads
They lead almost everywhere I go
And almost everything I know was shown to me
By hands as hard as stone
I don't know where I'd be and I wouldn't know where to go
If not for old, hard hands and
Well worn roads
Gently, but firmly I was guided as a child
By the hardened hands of a tough but wise old man
He picked me up, pulled me aside and pointed out what I couldn't see
If only he could see me now
Well worn roads
Lead almost everywhere I go
And almost everything I know was shown to me
By hands as hard as stone
I don't know where I'd be and I wouldn't know where to go
If not for old, hard hands and
Well worn roads
Well worn roads
Lead almost everywhere I go
And almost everything I know was shown to me
By hands as hard as stone
I don't know where I'd be and I wouldn't know where to go
If not for old, hard hands and
Well worn roads
